Compensation: ₹90,000 – ₹1,20,000 per month depending on qualifications and experience

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
The US Accounting Associate will be responsible for assisting with and managing a variety of US tax and accounting engagements, including:
Tax Compliance and Representation
- Preparing and reviewing federal tax returns: Form 1040 (Individual), Form 1120 (Corporation), Form 1065 (Partnership).
- Representing clients before the IRS and state tax departments; resolving notices, audits, and discrepancies via calls and correspondence.
- Handling sales tax filings across multiple states; analyzing nexus requirements and multi-state tax obligations.
- Preparing and filing state and local tax returns (SALT).
- Assisting with tax planning, estimated tax calculations, and extensions.
- Managing e-filing, e-signatures, and compliance documentation.
- Managing bookkeeping and accounting tasks in QuickBooks (reconciliations, ledgers, adjusting entries).

- Managing bookkeeping and accounting tasks in QuickBooks (reconciliations, ledgers, adjusting entries).
- Reviewing financial statements and trial balances for tax accuracy.
Client Engagement Support and Communications
- Liaising with US-based teams and clients on deliverables, information requests, and deadlines.
Research and Problem Solving
- Staying updated on IRS regulations, tax law changes, and state-specific rules.
- Researching international tax basics, including FBAR and FATCA requirements.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants must have:
- Active Enrolled Agent (EA) certification.
- 3–5 years of hands-on US tax experience (1040, 1120, 1065).
- Strong accounting and bookkeeping knowledge with hands-on QuickBooks experience (mandatory).
- Proven experience handling IRS and state notices and resolutions.
- Strong knowledge of sales tax, nexus rules, and multi-state compliance.
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, suited for IRS calls and client interactions.
Preferred Qualifications
Candidates with the following experience will be given preference:
- Proficiency in specialized tax software (e.g., TaxAct, CCH Access, Drake, etc.).
- Direct experience working with US expatriate or international tax matters.
- In-depth knowledge of FBAR/FATCA compliance.
Technical Skills
Preferred technical skills include experience with:
- QuickBooks.
- US tax software platforms (TaxAct, CCH Axcess, Drake, etc.).
- Microsoft Teams.
- Adobe Acrobat.
- Cloud-based document systems.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities (data organization, lookup formulas, and analytics).
