Quality Control Intern (Food Manufacturing Unit)

At Basillia Organics Pvt Ltd, we are transforming the future of food with our regenerative, climate-smart, and organic product lines under the brand Gudmom. We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated QC Intern to join our Quality team. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in ensuring product excellence from farm to fork. You will support the day-to-day implementation of quality checks, maintain critical compliance documentation, and assist in process improvement initiatives. This is an excellent opportunity to learn the practical applications of global food safety standards (ISO, HACCP, BRC, FSSAI) and organic traceability in a fast-paced production environment.
Roles & Responsibilities
1. Quality Inspections & Testing
- Assist in performing in-process and post-process quality checks across raw materials, packaging materials, and finished goods.
- Conduct batch-wise sampling and testing in accordance with established standard QC protocols.
- Inspect incoming materials against defined specifications and log any quality deviations.
2. Documentation, Compliance & Traceability
- Maintain and update vital quality records, batch manufacturing records (BMR), inspection reports, and traceability logs.
- Assist the team in organizing documentation required for ISO, HACCP, BRC, FSSAI, and Organic Certification norms.
- Support the tracking of Internal Control System (ICS) group records and coordinate documentation for Transaction Certificates (TCs) to ensure seamless farm-to-packaging traceability.
3. Floor Supervision & Food Safety
- Conduct regular floor walks to monitor the strict implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Ensure daily compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Hygiene Practices (GHP), and general workplace sanitation standards.
4. Data Analysis & Reporting
- Compile daily, weekly, and monthly QC data to help prepare performance reports.
- Assist in analyzing quality trends to support data-driven decision-making and process optimization.
5. Audits & Problem Solving
- Support the quality team in preparing for internal and external audits (regulatory bodies, buyers, certification agencies).
- Assist in investigating internal quality issues or customer complaints by gathering data for Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and tracking Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
- Help monitor the closure of any identified Non-Conformities (NCs).
6. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Culture
- Coordinate with Production, Logistics, Purchase, and R&D teams to help resolve daily quality-related bottlenecks.
- Assist in preparing training materials and conducting basic hygiene/quality briefings for floor staff to promote a quality-first culture.
Who You Are
- B.Tech/M.Tech(Food Tech) or B.Sc./M.Sc. (Agri/Food) or Relevant field
- Fresher - food/FMCG/Agri/organic processing units
- Tech- savvy and open to AI-based planning and reporting systems
- Strong in documentation, quality systems, FSSAI, BRC, GMP, and EHS standards
- Based in or willing to relocate to Pune (factory location near Khed Shivapur, Pune)
