Role Summary
The Head of Sales will lead the client acquisition, revenue growth, and
relationship management functions of the organization. This role is
responsible for driving sales strategy, mentoring the sales team, strengthening
client trust, and ensuring consistent growth in AUM through ethical, process-
driven, and consultative selling practices aligned with long-term wealth
creation for clients.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Leadership
Define and execute the organization’s sales strategy to achieve AUM and
revenue targets
Lead, mentor, and monitor the sales team to ensure consistent performance
and productivity
Establish structured sales processes, tracking mechanisms, and performance
metrics
Drive a culture of consultative selling focused on client needs and suitability
Client Acquisition & Relationship Management
Acquire high-quality clients aligned with the organization’s positioning
Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and prospects
Support the team in closing complex or high-value client engagements
Ensure high standards of client experience and trust-building
Team Development & Performance Management
Train and guide the sales team on products, processes, and communication
standards
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback
Identify skill gaps and organize training to enhance team capability
Coordination & Process Alignment
Work closely with operations, research, and advisory teams for seamless client
servicing
Ensure accurate handover of client requirements to the operations team
Maintain discipline in documentation, compliance, and data integrity
Business Planning & Reporting
Track sales performance, pipeline, and conversion ratios
Prepare periodic sales reports and forecasts for management review
Identify new opportunities, partnerships, and channels for business growth

Qualifications & Experience
Graduate / Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Business, or related field
NISM V A certification preferred
6–10 years of experience in wealth management / financial product sales
Prior experience in leading a sales team preferred in Mutual Fund Distribution Company
Pay: From ₹600,000.00 per year
