Job Summary:
The X-Ray Technician is responsible for performing diagnostic X-ray procedures safely and accurately, ensuring patient comfort, maintaining radiation safety standards, and assisting doctors in obtaining high-quality diagnostic images.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform X-ray examinations as prescribed by the doctor.
- Prepare patients for X-ray procedures and explain the process.
- Position patients correctly to obtain clear diagnostic images.
- Operate and maintain X-ray equipment safely.
- Follow radiation safety protocols and use protective equipment.
- Maintain patient records and imaging documentation.
- Ensure cleanliness and proper functioning of the X-ray room.
- Report equipment malfunctions to the maintenance team.
- Assist radiologists and physicians during special imaging procedures.
- Follow NABH standards, hospital policies, and infection control guidelines.
- Ensure patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Perform quality checks on X-ray equipment and images.
Qualifications:
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Radiology/Medical Imaging Technology (DRT/B.Sc. Radiology).
- Valid registration (if applicable).
- Freshers or experienced candidates can apply.
Skills Required:
- Knowledge of digital X-ray systems.
- Understanding of radiation protection principles.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Basic computer knowledge (PACS/RIS preferred).
- Ability to work in shifts and handle emergency cases.
- Attention to detail and patient care.
Experience:
- Fresher to 3 years of experience in a hospital or diagnostic center.
Working Conditions:
- Rotational shifts, including night duties and weekends if required.
- Adherence to hospital safety and infection control policies.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):
- High-quality diagnostic images with minimal repeats.
- Compliance with radiation safety standards.
- Timely completion of investigations.
- Patient satisfaction.
- Accurate documentation and reporting.
- Compliance with NABH standards.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
