Key Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care as per physician's orders and nursing care plans.
- Monitor, assess, and document patients' clinical condition.
- Administer medications safely by following the "Rights of Medication Administration."
- Assist doctors during clinical procedures and emergencies.
- Ensure patient comfort, dignity, privacy, and safety at all times.
- Educate patients and their attendants regarding treatment, medication, and discharge instructions.
- Responsible for carrying out ward service entries in the Hospital Information Management System (HIMS) in the assigned area.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing records in patient files, ward books, registers, and electronic records.
- Record vital signs, intake-output charts, medication administration records, nursing assessments, and incident reports.
- Ensure proper spill and linen management according to infection control guidelines.
- Maintain strict hand hygiene compliance.
- Follow Biomedical Waste Management Rules for segregation and disposal of waste.
- Implement standard precautions and infection control measures at all times.
- Conduct bed-to-bed patient hand overs with complete communication of patient status, treatment plans, and all clinical alerts.
- Identify and report any patient safety concerns, incidents, or near misses.
- Maintain fall prevention and patient identification protocols.
- Operate and maintain unit-specific equipment safely.
- Ensure availability and proper use of emergency equipment .
- Coordinate with doctors, nursing colleagues, allied health professionals, and support services for effective patient care.
- Communicate patient condition promptly to the Sister In-charge and treating consultant.
- Follow hospital policies, SOPs, NABH standards, and statutory requirements.
- Participate in departmental quality improvement activities.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- Attend Continuing Nursing Education (CNE) programmes and mandatory training sessions regularly.
- General Nursing & Midwifery (GNM) or B.Sc. Nursing
- Valid Nursing Council Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (preferred)
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
