Our sample unit serves as the creative and technical hub of our operations. We are looking for an organized, detail-oriented Sample Coordinator to bridge the gap between our merchandising team, design room, and production floor.
Role OverviewThe Sample Coordinator will manage the end-to-end sample development workflow. You will ensure that all sample types (Proto, Fit, Size-Set, Salesman, and PP samples) are executed accurately, meet strict buyer specifications, and are shipped on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Workflow Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the sample room to maintain an efficient production timeline.
- Coordination: Act as the primary liaison between merchandisers, pattern makers, cutting rooms, and sewing tailors.
- Material Sourcing: Track, receive, and organize all fabrics, trims, labels, and accessories required for specific sample runs.
- Quality Assurance: Inspect finished samples against tech packs and buyer specification sheets before delivery.
- Data Logging: Maintain an accurate log of all incoming sample requests, ongoing statuses, and final shipment tracking details.
- Problem Solving: Identify bottlenecks in the sample room and proactively work with tech teams to resolve pattern or fabric defects.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience working inside a woven garments factory or apparel sampling unit.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of woven fabrics, garment construction, sewing techniques, and tech packs.
- Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills to collaborate with both corporate teams and factory floor staff.
- Software Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, or general inventory/production tracking tools.
- Attributes: Exceptional organizational skills, multi-tasking capabilities, and a sharp eye for detail under tight deadlines.
