Key Responsibilities
- Identify, approach, and develop relationships with international buyers (grey cotton fabric — dyeing/finishing mills, converters) in priority markets including Bangladesh, Egypt, South Africa, and Southeast Asia
- Manage the complete export documentation cycle: proforma invoice, commercial invoice, packing list, shipping bill, certificate of origin, LC handling
- Coordinate with CHA (Customs House Agent), freight forwarders, and banks for smooth shipment and payment realization
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with buyers, in line with company margins and risk appetite
- Represent SJS at trade fairs, buyer-seller meets, and via trade councils (TEXPROCIL, etc.)
- Build and maintain a buyer pipeline and reporting system
- Ensure compliance with export regulations, RoDTEP claims, and other incentive schemes
- Mentor internal team members on export processes as the function scales
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in textile export, ideally fabric or yarn
- Hands-on experience with LC documentation, shipping processes, and buyer negotiation
- Existing network of international buyers/agents strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Incoterms, export finance, and compliance requirements
- Strong communication skills; comfortable representing the company independently to overseas buyers
- Based in or willing to relocate to Coimbatore
