We are looking for a US Accounting & Taxation Specialist with 2+ years of relevant experience in US accounting and taxation. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience managing accounting activities for US-based entities and be comfortable handling accounting operations, reconciliations, compliance, and statutory/tax filings.
The position will be based in Bangalore and will work closely with internal stakeholders and US-based clients/entities to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
1. US Accounting & Bookkeeping
- Manage day-to-day accounting activities for US-based entities.
- Maintain accurate books of accounts and financial records.
- Record and review journal entries, invoices, expenses, receivables, and payables.
- Perform bank, credit card, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
2. US Tax & Statutory Filings
- Handle and coordinate US tax and statutory filings for applicable entities.
- Prepare and file required federal, state, and local tax returns and compliance filings.
- Ensure timely submission of all applicable tax and regulatory filings.
- Maintain supporting documentation and records for tax and compliance purposes.
- Coordinate with external CPAs, tax consultants, and other professionals where required.
3. Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.
- Assist with preparation of Profit & Loss statements, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
- Review financial data for accuracy, completeness, and discrepancies.
- Provide accounting information and reports to management as required.
4. Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure accounting and tax activities comply with applicable US accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for accounting and tax transactions.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required schedules and documentation.
- Track filing deadlines and ensure timely completion of all compliance requirements.
5. Stakeholder Coordination
- Coordinate with internal teams and US-based stakeholders regarding accounting and financial matters.
- Resolve accounting discrepancies and respond to queries related to financial transactions.
- Work with external accountants, auditors, and tax professionals when required.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 2+ years of relevant experience in US Accounting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with US accounting and bookkeeping practices.
- Experience handling US tax and statutory filings.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Experience with bank and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel/Google Sheets.
- Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work with US-based stakeholders and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
- Prior experience working with US-based companies or US accounting operations.
- Knowledge of US federal and state tax compliance.
- Experience with accounting platforms such as QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero, or similar systems.
- Understanding of US GAAP and general US accounting practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
