- System Upkeep: Maintain and operate ammonia or Freon-based refrigeration systems, chillers, compressors, and cooling towers.
- Temperature & Defrost: Ensure uniform temperature control and monitor the efficiency of IQF tunnels and blast freezers.
- Thermal Efficiency: Prevent the silent degradation of thermal efficiency and address system issues such as icing, sensor faults, or defrost cycle failures.
- Refrigerant Management: Handle refrigerants safely and perform leak checks according to environmental and safety protocols.
- Condition Monitoring: Regularly inspect cold rooms to ensure temperatures remain steady (typically at or below -18°C).
- Component Servicing: Service specific cold storage components such as evaporators, condensers, door heaters, and expansion valves.
- Door & Space Seals: Ensure proper door seals, vacuum relief ports, and sufficient refrigerated air circulation are maintained.
- Scheduled Maintenance: Implement, plan, and execute preventive and predictive maintenance schedules rather than merely reactive repairs.
- Asset Tracking: Maintain the upkeep of all manufacturing assets, track critical spare parts inventory, and monitor purchase orders.
- Downtime Reduction: Troubleshoot equipment issues rapidly to minimize production downtime and business disruptions.
- Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and develop maintenance engineers, mechanics, and refrigeration specialists.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage the annual maintenance department budget, track expenses, and approve capital expenditure proposals.
- Energy Efficiency: Implement and monitor energy-saving initiatives to reduce power consumption across cooling systems and plant operations
