Job Description: Computer Operator (GIS – FCA/FRA Work)
Position: Computer Operator (GIS Based Work)
Location: Parwanoo, District Solan, Himachal Pradesh (with travel across Himachal as required)
Job Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities:
- GIS-based data processing and mapping work related to FCA (Forest Clearance Act) / FRA (Forest Rights Act).
- Preparation, maintenance, and updating of spatial data, shapefiles, and related documentation.
- Coordination with the technical team and assisting in report generation for FCA/FRA projects.
- Visiting client offices for data collection, submission, and project discussions.
- Field visits/surveys across Himachal Pradesh for ground-truthing and data verification.
Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of MS Office.
- Ability to handle GIS data, scanning, digitization, and basic map preparation.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Himachal Pradesh for survey and project-related work.
- Good communication and documentation skills.
