Job Overview
We are looking for motivated Freshers and Experienced Professionals in Tax Litigation to join our team in Pune. The role involves assisting and leading tax dispute resolutions, drafting appeals, responding to departmental notices (Income Tax/GST), and representing clients/firm before tax authorities.
Key Responsibilities1. For Experienced Candidates (1–5+ Years Experience)
- Appeals & Proceedings: Draft high-level submissions, appeals (CIT(A) / ITAT / GST Appellate Authorities), and legal replies to show-cause notices.
- Representation: Represent clients/firm in hearings before Assessing Officers (AO) and tax tribunals.
- Case Law Research: Conduct deep legal research on judicial precedents, High Court / Supreme Court rulings, and CBDT/CBIC circulars.
- Client & Strategy Management: Evaluate tax exposure, formulate defense strategies, and interact with tax department officials.
2. For Freshers / Trainees (0–1 Year Experience)
- Litigation Support: Assist senior team members in gathering case records, preparing working papers, and drafting basic notice replies.
- Research & Analysis: Summarize relevant tax judgments and track updates on Income Tax and GST portals.
- Compliance & Filings: Assist in preparing tax computations, filing online submissions, and maintaining case documentation/files.
- Liaison: Coordinate with senior counsel and perform follow-up visits to tax departments when required.
Qualifications & SkillsPreferred Education
- LLB / LLM with specialization/interest in Taxation OR
- CA / CA Inter / Semi-Qualified CA / M.Com with strong exposure to tax law.
Experience Requirements
- Experienced Track: 1 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in direct/indirect tax litigation (CA firm, Law firm, or Corporate).
- Fresher Track: Recent law graduates, semi-qualified CAs, or completed articleship with a strong foundation in Indian Tax Laws.
Core Competencies
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of Income Tax Act 1961, GST Act, and procedural law.
- Drafting Skills: Strong written English for preparing legal representations and petitions.
- Tools: Basic knowledge of Tax Portals, Tally Prime, MS Excel, and Tax Research databases (Taxmann, ITAT Online, etc.).
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary:
- Freshers: ₹2.4 LPA – ₹3.6 LPA (Dependent on credentials/qualifications)
- Experienced (2-5 Yrs): ₹4.5 LPA – ₹8.0+ LPA (Commensurate with experience)
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
