ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
● Ensure the safe custody of all materials by securing storage areas.
● Maintain cleanliness in material storage areas and ensure all materials are tagged with GRN #s and have correct labels for name and batch.
● Ensure shelves are labeled and stacked in an orderly fashion for easy material issuance and stock-taking.
● Be accountable for all company materials by maintaining receipt and issue registers and keeping updated balances of materials on hand.
● Ensure materials are only issued against MRS/Job orders signed by authorized personnel.
● Conduct physical verification of stocks at least twice a year.
● Alert the Works in charge and CFO in case of missing materials or portable machines.
● Provide an accurate monthly stock statement to management and accounts by the 5th of the following month.
● Maintain adequate stock of regular consumables to prevent production halts.
● Check material availability against the monthly production schedule and follow up with the Purchase department to ensure timely material arrival.
● Support the purchase function by providing accurate data on material availability to prevent the purchase of excess stock.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
● Any diploma or degree in mechanical field preferably DME.
Must-Have Skills:
● Prior experience in a Stores function, minimum 5 years preferably dealing with steel plates, coils, and products.
● Good computer knowledge, with strong exposure to Excel.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE & PREFERENCES
● Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Works Manager/CFO
● Age Preference: Over 40.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
● Knowledge of tally is a plus.
● Exposure to coursework related to Inventory, Accounting, and Planning is advantageous.
● Supply Chain or logistics certification is welcome.
● Knowledge of Bellows/Pressure vessel fabrication is a bonus.
Pay: ₹12,151.09 - ₹42,014.10 per month
