About the Role We are seeking a Senior Mainframe developer with 6–11 years of hands-on experience developing, enhancing, and supporting enterprise-grade mainframe applications. The candidate will work on equity compensation products for the Global markets, utilizing core mainframe technologies. The role requires strong expertise in mainframe technologies and the ability to work in an agile environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, enhance, and support enterprise-grade mainframe applications
- Utilize core mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and associated IBM mainframe utilities
- Maintain systems in the MVS mainframe environment
- Work on mainframe application development
- Negotiate, influence, and work with business peers and management
- Analyze complex mainframe programs and identify solutions
- Perform unit testing and review production problems
- Connect with business partners on critical requirements and work with different teams to derive solutions
Requirements
- Have 6-11 years of hands-on experience in mainframe development
- Possess strong expertise in COBOL, JCL, DB2, VSAM, CICS, and associated IBM mainframe utilities
- Have experience in maintaining systems in the MVS mainframe environment
- Have worked in mainframe application development
- Have experience working in an agile environment
- Possess strong analytical skills to review production problems
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Have exceptional stakeholder management skills
Good to Have
- Knowledge of Micro-Services Architecture concepts and emerging patterns such as APIs, WebServices (REST/SOAP)
- Knowledge of Core Java, J2EE, Spring, Spring Boot
- Understanding of distributed technology
- Exposure to Oracle DB
- Prior experience on large scale IT Transformational Projects (Migration, Modernization)
