About the Role :
We are looking for a proactive, hands-on HR Manager to independently own the full HR function for our organisation of approximately 50 employees, based full-time at our India office. This is a standalone position — you will be the sole in-house HR presence in the business, working closely with UK-based leadership to build and run HR processes from the ground up. You will also work alongside our external HR advisory partner, Citation, on policy, compliance, and more complex HR matters. It's a great opportunity for someone who wants ownership and variety, covering everything from recruitment to compliance to employee relations, while collaborating regularly with UK stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage end-to-end recruitment: job postings, screening, interview coordination, and onboarding for new hires
- Maintain employee records, contracts, and HR documentation
- Handle day-to-day employee queries, grievances, and workplace issues
- Support performance management processes, including appraisals and feedback cycles
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and internal policies
- Liaise with our external HR advisory partner, Citation, on policy guidance, compliance queries, and complex
Employee Relations Cases :
- Manage leave, attendance, and payroll coordination (working with finance/accounts)
- Develop and update HR policies as the company grows
- Support employee engagement initiatives and internal communications
- Manage offboarding processes, including exit interviews and documentation
- Act as the first point of contact for all HR-related matters across the organisation
Requirements :
- Prior experience in an HR generalist or HR management role (experience level to be specified by employer)
- Experience working with or supporting UK-based companies or teams is required — familiarity with UK
working hours, communication norms, and employment practices is a strong advantage
- Strong understanding of core HR functions: recruitment, employee relations, compliance, payroll basics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities without close supervision
- Comfortable using HR software/tools and standard office applications (Excel, Google Workspace, etc.)
- Discretion and sound judgement when handling confidential employee matters
- A degree or diploma in HR, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred

Working Hours - UK Shift Hours :
Monday to Friday (Afternoon Shift) : 01:00 PM - 10:30 PM , Saturday - 01:00 PM - 07:30 PM (Summer Timings)
Monday to Friday (Afternoon Shift) : 02:00 PM - 11:30 PM , Saturday - 02:00 PM - 08:30 PM (Winter Timings)
Report To : Director
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
