Role Overview:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and knowledgeable STEM & Robotics Trainer to conduct engaging sessions for school students in Pune. The trainer will be responsible for delivering curriculum-based robotics and STEM activities, mentoring students, and fostering a passion for innovation and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct STEM and robotics classes for students (age groups as per school curriculum, typically grades 3–10)
- Deliver hands-on training using kits (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Lego Mindstorms, micro:bit, or similar platforms)
- Prepare lesson plans, activity sheets, and project guides
- Manage classroom activities and ensure a safe, engaging learning environment
- Evaluate student progress and provide feedback to school coordinators/parents
- Coordinate with school staff and iSpark's internal team for smooth program delivery
- Participate in training sessions, workshops, and competitions (robotics fairs, exhibitions)
- Maintain and troubleshoot robotics kits and lab equipment
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, or related field) / B.Ed with STEM background
- Prior experience in teaching robotics/STEM to school students preferred
- Knowledge of programming (Scratch, Python, Arduino IDE) and electronics basics
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Passion for working with children and simplifying technical concepts
- Willingness to travel to different schools within Pune (if required)
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with robotics kits like Lego WeDo/Mindstorms, Makeblock, Arduino, Raspberry Pi
- Prior experience in an ed-tech or STEM training company
- Certification in robotics/STEM education (added advantage)
