Job Description:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Medical Social Worker to support patients and their families in coping with medical conditions and related social, emotional, and financial challenges. The candidate will play a key role in improving patient care by connecting individuals with appropriate resources and support systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ psychosocial needs and provide appropriate support
- Counsel patients and families regarding illness, treatment, and recovery
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals for patient care planning
- Assist patients in accessing financial aid, insurance, and community resources
- Provide crisis intervention and emotional support when needed
- Educate patients and families about available healthcare and social services
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
- Facilitate discharge planning and follow-up care services
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) from a recognized institution
- Knowledge of medical and psychiatric social work practices preferred
Experience:
- 0–3 years preferred (freshers with strong skills may also apply)
Salary:
- ₹18,000 – ₹20,000 per month (based on experience)
