About the Role
We are looking for a creative and experienced Video Editor to join our content team.
The ideal candidate should have professional experience editing content for YouTube or digital content creators. Experience working on content in a similar subject area is preferred.
For this role, we value creative storytelling, pacing, audience engagement, and editorial judgment in addition to technical editing skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit engaging long-form and short-form video content.
- Work closely with content creators to understand the creative direction of each project.
- Create strong openings, pacing, transitions, visual sequences, and overall storytelling.
- Select and use appropriate B-roll, graphics, sound effects, music, and other visual elements.
- Review footage and identify opportunities to improve the story and viewer experience.
- Contribute creative ideas during the editing process.
- Maintain consistency with the channel's visual and editorial style.
- Complete projects according to agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Organise project files and maintain an efficient editing workflow.
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of professional video editing experience.
- Experience working with YouTube channels, content creators, or digital media teams.
- Strong understanding of storytelling, pacing, structure, and audience engagement.
- Demonstrated creative ability beyond basic technical editing.
- Proficiency in professional video editing software such as Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Experience with motion graphics, sound design, colour correction, and visual effects is an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Good communication and ability to collaborate with creators and team members.
- Ability to understand feedback and independently improve the final output.
- A strong portfolio or showreel demonstrating previous work.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with previous experience working with content creators or YouTube channels in a similar subject area will be preferred.
Experience with videos that have demonstrated strong audience engagement or performance is an advantage. Please share publicly available examples of relevant work with your application.
