About the Role
We're looking for an Instructional Designer to design, develop, and continuously improve learning content that builds employee capability and drives measurable performance outcomes. The ideal candidate combines strong instructional design fundamentals with the ability to translate complex business or product knowledge into engaging, easy-to-apply training materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop training content including modules, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, job aids, e-learning courses, and assessments
- Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) in collaboration with business/sales stakeholders to identify skill and knowledge gaps
- Apply instructional design models (ADDIE, SAM, Bloom's Taxonomy) to structure learning content for maximum retention and application
- Create scenario-based and roleplay learning experiences, including sales/customer-interaction simulations
- Build assessment tools (quizzes, certifications, skill checklists) with appropriate difficulty tiers and scoring logic
- Partner with subject matter experts (SMEs) to convert technical/product/process knowledge into structured curricula
- Develop content for multiple delivery formats: classroom (ILT), virtual (VILT), e-learning, microlearning, and blended programs
- Use authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline/Rise, Adobe Captivate, PowerPoint) and LMS platforms to publish and track content
- Evaluate training effectiveness through feedback, assessment scores, and on-job performance metrics; iterate content accordingly
- Maintain version control and a content repository for all training materials
- Stay current on instructional design trends, including AI-powered and simulation-based learning approaches
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Instructional Design, HR, Communications, or related field (Master's preferred)
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in instructional design
- Strong grasp of adult learning principles and instructional design frameworks
- Proficiency with at least one e-learning authoring tool and one LMS
- Excellent written communication and content structuring skills
- Experience designing assessments, quizzes, or certification frameworks
- Ability to work cross-functionally with SMEs, sales/operations teams, and leadership
Preferred / Good to Have
- Experience in telecom or retail sales training environments
- Familiarity with roleplay-based or simulation-based learning design
- Exposure to AI-powered learning tools or platforms
- Basic graphic design or video editing skills (Canva, Camtasia, etc.)
- Experience designing for frontline/sales enablement audiences

Pay: ₹350,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
