Job Summary:
To train farmers and trainees in organic and sustainable farming practices, improving soil health, crop productivity, and farmer income while promoting environmentally friendly agriculture.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct training on organic farming principles and practices.
- Organic manure (FYM, compost, vermicompost).
- Bio-fertilizers and bio-pesticides.
- Train on soil health management and crop nutrition.
- Demonstrate natural pest and disease management techniques.
Guide farmers on:
- Seed selection and treatment.
- Crop planning and rotation.
- Intercropping and mixed cropping.
- Conduct field demonstrations and practical sessions.
- Support farmers in transitioning from chemical to organic farming.
- Assist in yield improvement and cost reduction strategies.
- Coordinate with field staff and project teams.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma / Degree in Agriculture / Organic Farming / Horticulture.
- Freshers or candidates with any internship/fieldwork experience in the NGO, development, or social sector are eligible to apply.
- Knowledge of local crops and farming practices is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies
- Strong practical knowledge of organic agriculture.
- Ability to train farmers using simple and local language
- Good communication and demonstration skills.
- Field coordination and reporting ability
- Problem-solving and farmer-support attitude.
- Willingness to travel to villages/fields.
