We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee procurement operations and ensure efficient supply chain management across our hospitality businesses.
Position Overview
The Purchase Manager will be responsible for managing the end-to-end procurement process, vendor management, cost control, inventory planning, and timely sourcing of materials, equipment, food & beverage supplies, and operational requirements. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in the hospitality industry and strong negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the complete procurement cycle for food, beverage, housekeeping, engineering, and operational supplies.
- Identify, evaluate, negotiate, and on board reliable vendors and suppliers.
- Obtain competitive quotations and ensure cost-effective purchasing without compromising quality.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with department heads to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and service providers.
- Conduct regular market surveys to benchmark pricing and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Ensure timely delivery of purchased goods and services.
- Verify purchase orders, invoices, and vendor payments in coordination with the finance team.
- Maintain procurement records, contracts, and vendor databases.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit standards.
- Prepare procurement reports, cost analyses, and budget forecasts for management review.
- Monitor food cost, beverage cost, and overall procurement efficiency.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 2+ years of procurement/purchasing experience in the hospitality, hotel, restaurant, or F&B industry.
- Strong knowledge of vendor management, inventory control, and procurement processes.
- Excellent negotiation and cost-management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and procurement software.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in multi-unit restaurant or hospitality operations.
- Strong vendor network within Mumbai's hospitality and F&B industry.
- Knowledge of food safety and quality standards.
- Experience in budgeting and cost optimization initiatives.
