JOB TITLE: PROFESSIONAL MW API INFRASTRUCTURE ENGINEER - TIBCO & DATAPOWER
ROLE SUMMARY
The Professional Middleware API Infrastructure Engineer with expertise in TIBCO and IBM DataPower serves as a subject matter expert for enterprise API and integration platforms. This role leads architectural decisions, mentors teams, and drives innovation across TIBCO and DataPower middleware stacks.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Architect and govern enterprise API and messaging infrastructure using TIBCO and IBM DataPower
- Lead complex integration projects involving TIBCO BusinessWorks, EMS, and DataPower API gateway
- Define integration standards, reference architectures, and reusable patterns for TIBCO and DataPower
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring for middleware engineering teams
- Drive performance engineering, capacity planning, and cost optimization across TIBCO and DataPower platforms
- Collaborate with enterprise architects and security teams on integration strategy and compliance
- Lead evaluation and adoption of new middleware capabilities, upgrades, and toolchain improvements
- Manage escalated production incidents and establish long-term remediation plans
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- 10-12 years in middleware engineering with expert-level knowledge of TIBCO and IBM DataPower
- Comprehensive expertise in TIBCO EMS, BusinessWorks, Rendezvous, and MDM
- Advanced proficiency in IBM DataPower Gateway including GatewayScript, AAA policies, and multi-protocol gateway
- Experience integrating TIBCO and DataPower in enterprise hybrid architectures
- Strong background in API security, OAuth, JWT, mTLS, and enterprise identity management
- Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Knowledge of cloud migration strategies for middleware workloads
GOOD TO HAVE
- Experience with TIBCO Cloud and IBM Cloud Pak for Integration
- Knowledge of API management at scale using Kong or Apigee alongside DataPower
- Exposure to event mesh architecture and hybrid cloud integration
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
- Professional certifications from TIBCO and IBM are strongly preferred
