Key Responsibilities
- Operate automatic and semi-automatic welding machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform welding activities according to engineering drawings, welding procedures, and specifications.
- Set up welding machines, including adjusting voltage, current, wire feed speed, and other parameters.
- Prepare materials and components before welding.
- Monitor the automatic welding process and make necessary adjustments to ensure weld quality.
- Inspect completed welds for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshooting of welding equipment.
- Report machine malfunctions, welding defects, or material issues to the supervisor.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Maintain production targets while ensuring quality standards.
- Follow all workplace safety procedures and use the required PPE.
- Maintain cleanliness and proper housekeeping in the work area.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and maintenance teams when required.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as an Automatic Welder or Semi-Automatic Welder.
- Knowledge of MIG/MAG welding processes.
- Experience operating automatic welding machines and related equipment.
- Ability to read and understand engineering and fabrication drawings.
- Knowledge of welding parameters, weld quality, and defect identification.
- Basic understanding of welding machine maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Knowledge of workplace safety standards and PPE requirements.
Education
- ITI / Diploma in Welding, Mechanical, or a related field is preferred.
Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
