Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Purchase In-Charge who can independently manage medicine and healthcare product purchasing for our retail pharmacy operations. The candidate will be responsible for stock planning, supplier coordination, rate negotiation, expiry management, and ensuring availability of fast-moving medicines.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle complete purchase operations for medicines and pharma products
* Coordinate with pharma companies, stockists, and distributors
* Ensure availability of fast-moving and essential medicines
* Monitor stock levels and maintain optimum inventory
* Check and manage expiry, near-expiry, and damage stock
* Compare rates and negotiate margins with suppliers
* Prepare and issue purchase orders as per requirement
* Maintain proper documentation of invoices and purchase records
* Coordinate with accounts team for payment and reconciliation
* Maintain strong vendor relationships and identify new suppliers
Qualification
* Any Graduate (Commerce preferred)
* Strong knowledge of medicine brands, generic medicines & pharma distribution system
* Good negotiation and vendor handling skills
* Basic knowledge of GST billing and inventory software
Required Skills
* Stock planning and demand forecasting ability
* Knowledge of expiry management in pharma retail
* Strong coordination with store and billing team
