Job Summary
The IT Administrator is responsible for managing and maintaining the school's IT infrastructure, ensuring the smooth functioning of computer systems, networks, internet connectivity, smart classroom equipment, and educational technology. The role includes providing technical support to staff and students while ensuring data security and system reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, scanners, projectors, and other IT equipment.
- Monitor and maintain the school's network, Wi-Fi, internet connectivity, and LAN infrastructure.
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network-related issues for staff and students.
- Install, update, and maintain operating systems, antivirus software, and other required applications.
- Manage user accounts, passwords, email accounts, and access permissions.
- Ensure regular data backup and recovery procedures are implemented.
- Maintain and troubleshoot smart classroom devices, interactive panels, projectors, biometric attendance systems, CCTV systems, and other educational technology.
- Coordinate with internet service providers and external IT vendors for repairs and maintenance.
- Monitor system security and ensure compliance with the school's IT policies.
- Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including computers, peripherals, networking devices, and software licenses.
- Support online examinations, admissions, ERP software, and digital learning platforms.
- Assist in setting up IT equipment for school events, meetings, presentations, and examinations.
- Maintain documentation of IT assets, service records, and maintenance activities.
- Recommend upgrades and improvements to the school's IT infrastructure.
- Ensure minimal downtime by performing preventive maintenance and timely issue resolution.
- Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by the school management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA A+, or Network+ are preferred.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in IT administration, preferably in a school or educational institution.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office.
- Knowledge of networking concepts (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP).
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and maintenance.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems, biometric devices, printers, and smart classroom technology.
- Basic knowledge of server administration and data backup.
- Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Pay: ₹10,137.42 - ₹35,000.00 per month
