Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled VMC Operator -4 AXIS to operate and maintain Vertical Machining Center (VMC) machines for precision machining of components. The candidate should have experience in machine setup, tool offset setting, engineering drawing interpretation, and quality inspection while ensuring production targets are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate VMC machines safely and efficiently.
- Perform machine setup independently.
- Set tool offsets and work offsets.
- Load and unload workpieces using appropriate fixtures.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Produce components as per specified dimensions and tolerances.
- Monitor machining operations and make minor program edits when required.
- Inspect finished parts using measuring instruments.
- Maintain production records and machine logs.
- Follow quality standards and safety procedures.
- Perform routine machine cleaning and basic preventive maintenance.
- Coordinate with the Production Supervisor and Quality team.
Required Skills
- Experience operating VMC machines.
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Siemens, or Mitsubishi controllers.
- Ability to perform machine setup independently.
- Knowledge of cutting tools and machining parameters.
- Understanding of GD&T and engineering drawings.
- Experience with tool offset and work offset setting.
- Basic CNC program editing knowledge.
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

Materials Experience
- Mild Steel (MS)
- Stainless Steel (SS)
- Aluminium
- Alloy Steel
Qualification
- ITI (Fitter/Turner/Machinist)
- Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Preferred)
Preferred Candidate
- 2–5 years of VMC machine operating experience.
- Good understanding of production and quality requirements.
- Able to work in rotational shifts.
- Immediate joiners will be preferred.
