Flakes Food Ventures Pvt Ltd is an established and ever expanding cake and dessert retail brand with multiple outlets across Kochi and Kottayam. Our Chottanikkara unit is an integrated baking and kitchen production facility, with office spaces on the 2nd floor, staff washrooms, a staff canteen and the attached Chottanikkara retail outlet.
We are looking for a responsible, experienced and mature Housekeeping Supervisor to lead and maintain high standards of cleaning, hygiene, and sanitation across all these areas.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily cleaning and sanitation activities for:
- Factory production and kitchen areas
- Office spaces
- Staff washrooms and common areas
- Staff canteen
- Chottanikkara retail outlet
- Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and food-safety standards in all production and kitchen zones.
- Plan and monitor cleaning schedules, checklists and rotation of housekeeping staff
Train and guide housekeeping staff on:
- Proper use of cleaning chemicals and equipment
- Safe handling of waste and bio-waste
- Sanitation norms for kitchen and food-contact surfaces
- Personal hygiene and uniform standards
- Monitor stock of cleaning supplies, consumables, and toiletries; raise timely purchase requests.
- Conduct regular inspections and report issues (leaks, pest concerns, maintenance needs) to management.
- Support occasional deep-cleaning drives, festival/peak-season preparation, and special hygiene audits.
- Maintain a respectful, disciplined, and positive work environment among housekeeping staff.
Requirements
Minimum 1–3 years of experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, preferably in:
- Food production units, bakeries, commercial kitchens, or F&B outlets
- Facilities with office + production + retail areas
- Strong knowledge of cleaning processes, sanitation practices and basic food-safety hygiene.
- Proven ability to lead and supervise a team.
- Mature, responsible, and hands-on working style; able to work early mornings and occasional extended hours during peak seasons.
- Good communication skills in Malayalam & Hindi; basic English is an advantage.
- Resident of or willing to work in Chottanikkara / nearby areas in Kochi.
