About the Role
Honey Makhija Group is looking for a highly experienced, strategic, execution-oriented Chief of Staff to the Founder who can work directly with the Founder across business strategy, operations, investments, technology, expansion, and new ventures.
This is a senior leadership position, not an administrative or personal assistant role.
The Chief of Staff will act as a trusted extension of the Founder, ensuring that strategic priorities are translated into execution, teams remain accountable, and critical initiatives move forward at speed.
The role is based in Mumbai and may require frequent domestic travel and, depending on business requirements, relocation or extended periods of work from other company locations.
Key Responsibilities1. Founder’s Office & Strategic Execution
- Work directly with the Founder on high-priority business initiatives.
- Convert the Founder’s vision and decisions into structured execution plans.
- Track critical objectives, deadlines, owners, and outcomes.
- Ensure commitments made by teams are executed.
- Identify bottlenecks and drive their resolution.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly management reviews.
2. Strategic Projects
- Lead high-impact projects assigned by the Founder.
- Conduct market research, competitive analysis, feasibility studies, and business evaluations.
- Develop business plans, financial models, presentations, and execution roadmaps.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to deliver strategic initiatives.
- Take projects from concept through implementation.
3. Business Operations
- Work across multiple businesses and functions of the Group.
- Review operational performance and key business metrics.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements.
- Develop SOPs, reporting systems, dashboards, and accountability mechanisms.
- Coordinate with business heads and senior management.
4. Founder Communication & Coordination
- Serve as a central coordination point between the Founder and key internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare meeting agendas, briefing notes, decision documents, and follow-up trackers.
- Ensure the Founder has timely and accurate information for important decisions.
- Maintain complete confidentiality regarding business, financial, strategic, and sensitive information.
5. New Ventures & Expansion
- Evaluate new business opportunities with the Founder.
- Conduct market and industry research.
- Support strategic partnerships, negotiations, and business development.
- Assist in launching new businesses, products, locations, and initiatives.
- Build execution frameworks where no existing processes are available.
6. Management Information & Decision Support
- Review financial and operational data.
- Develop management reports and dashboards.
- Track KPIs against targets.
- Identify significant deviations and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide concise, decision-oriented analysis to the Founder.
7. Senior Team Accountability
- Coordinate with senior managers, business heads, and functional leaders.
- Ensure clear ownership of strategic priorities.
- Follow up on critical commitments.
- Escalate important issues with practical solutions.
- Drive a culture of accountability, speed, and execution.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 15 years of professional experience.
- Proven experience in senior management, strategy, operations, consulting, entrepreneurship, business leadership, or a Founder’s Office.
- Experience working directly with founders, CEOs, promoters, CXOs, or business owners is strongly preferred.
- Strong strategic thinking and execution capability.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Strong command of Excel/Google Sheets and PowerPoint/Google Slides.
- Ability to independently research, analyze, structure, and present complex information.
- Strong project and stakeholder management capabilities.
- High level of confidentiality and professional maturity.
- Willingness to travel extensively when required.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment.

The selected candidate will be expected to operate at a senior strategic and managerial level and directly contribute to the growth and execution of the Group.
