Required Qualification & Work Experience-
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 4–6 years of experience in piping stress analysis.
- Hands-on experience in:
- CAESAR II (preferred) or equivalent stress analysis tools
- Piping stress calculations and analysis
- Flexibility analysis and load calculations
- Strong knowledge of:
- Piping design codes (ASME B31.3, etc.)
- Thermal expansion, load cases, and support design
- Pipe stress fundamentals
- Experience in EPC or plant engineering projects preferred.
- Good communication and coordination skills.
Job Summary-
We are seeking a skilled Piping Stress Engineer to perform piping stress analysis and ensure structural integrity of piping systems in industrial projects. The role involves using engineering tools, analysing load conditions, and coordinating with design teams to ensure safe and compliant piping systems.
Key Responsibilities-
- Perform piping stress analysis using CAESAR II or equivalent tools.
- Evaluate thermal expansion, pressure loads, and external forces.
- Design and review pipe support requirements.
- Ensure compliance with ASME and project standards.
- Coordinate with piping and mechanical design teams.
- Review piping layouts for stress feasibility.
- Prepare stress analysis reports and documentation.
- Support clash and design issue resolution.
- Participate in design review meetings.
Provide technical input for piping system optimization.
- Experienced in conducting pipe stress analysis for above ground piping
- Experienced in performing response spectrum dynamic analysis.
- Experienced in performing stress analysis for turbine connected, Horizontal heaters, Vertical vessel, tank, plate heat exchanger, screw compressor& pump connected piping in CAESAR II software.
- Steam Hammering analysis using static equivalent method(E.C.Goodling)
- Nozzle load verification for turbine & pump using the NEMA & API 610 module in Caesar II.
- Flange leakage analysis using ASME Sec VIII module in Caesar II.
- Performing modal analysis using Caesar software.
- Stress report preparation for client submission.
- Preparation of Bellow & Hanger specification using the output from stress analysis software.
- Coordinate with civil structural team for design of pipe rack.
- Reviewing the bellow offer and hanger offer received from vendor.
