About the Role
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to join our content team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about storytelling, understand social media trends, and be capable of transforming raw footage into engaging, high-quality videos for YouTube, Instagram, and other digital platforms.
Responsibilities
- Edit short-form and long-form video content for YouTube, Instagram Reels, Shorts, and other platforms.
- Add motion graphics, text animations, transitions, sound effects, and background music.
- Create engaging hooks and maintain audience retention throughout videos.
- Color correct and enhance video quality.
- Collaborate with the content strategist, designer, and creator to execute content ideas.
- Repurpose long-form content into multiple short-form clips.
- Follow brand guidelines and maintain consistency across all content.
- Stay updated with the latest editing trends, storytelling techniques, and platform best practices.
Requirements
- Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of pacing, storytelling, and visual communication.
- Experience editing YouTube videos, Reels, and Shorts.
- Knowledge of motion graphics and basic animation.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple projects.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Portfolio showcasing previous video editing work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with content creators, influencers, or brands.
- Understanding of YouTube retention strategies and social media algorithms.
- Basic knowledge of graphic design and thumbnail creation.
- Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools.
