- Specialized Practice:
- Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery: Performing surgeries on the mouth, jaw, and face.
- Orthodontics: Correcting misaligned teeth and jaw alignment.
- Periodontics: Treating gum diseases.
- Endodontics: Treating the inner structure of teeth (root canals).
- Pedodontics: Providing dental care for children.
- Oral Pathology and Microbiology: Diagnosing and treating diseases of the mouth.
- Oral Medicine and Radiology: Using imaging techniques to diagnose dental problems.
- Data Collection:Gathering and recording detailed information about residents, including their medical history, physical and cognitive abilities, functional limitations, and behavior.
- Data Coordination:Ensuring all relevant data is entered into the MDS system accurately and on time.
- Data Management:Maintaining the integrity and security of the MDS data, including reviewing, updating, and correcting information.
- Compliance:Staying up-to-date with regulatory requirements and guidelines for MDS reporting.
- Collaboration:Working with healthcare professionals, including nurses, physicians, and therapists, to ensure accurate and complete data collection.
Required Skills:
- Data Entry: Proficiency in entering and managing data in electronic medical records systems.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data and identify trends or patterns.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and residents.
- Problem-solving Skills: Ability to identify and resolve data entry issues.
