Responsible for preparing, controlling, and supplying sizing chemicals that improve the paper's resistance to water, ink penetration, and surface quality.
- Prepare rosin size, AKD (Alkyl Ketene Dimer), ASA (Alkenyl Succinic Anhydride), starch, and other sizing agents.
- Maintain correct chemical concentration according to production requirements.
- Monitor and adjust the dosage of sizing chemicals added to the pulp stock.
- Ensure uniform mixing of chemicals with pulp.
- Check paper sizing properties such as water resistance and ink holdout.
- Coordinate with the quality control department to maintain product specifications.
- Store chemicals safely according to safety procedures.
- Observe pumps, agitators, tanks, pipelines, and dosing systems.
- Identify and rectify issues such as blockages, leaks, or incorrect chemical feed rates.
- Maintain daily records of chemical consumption, stock levels, and process parameters and shoud be ability for Quality control awareness.
- Prepare reports for supervisors and production management.
- Follow safety procedures while handling chemicals.
- Respond appropriately to chemical spills or emergencies.
- Work closely with pulp mill operators, paper machine operators, and laboratory staff.
- Adjust sizing parameters based on paper grade and customer requirements.
Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹16,500.00 per month
