Position Overview
Tooltech Industries is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer & Setter to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will bridge the gap between engineering designs and physical production. You will be responsible for writing, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs, as well as setting up the machinery to ensure precision production of complex, high-quality components.
The ideal candidate possesses strong technical acumen in both programming logic and hands-on mechanical setup, ensuring our manufacturing lines run efficiently, safely, and to exact tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
1. Programming & Optimization
Write and edit CNC programs using CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, Solid CAM) and manual G-code/M-code editing.
Interpret blueprint drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and engineering specifications.
Optimize tool paths, feed rates, and spindle speeds to minimize cycle times and maximize tool life.
2. Machine Setup & Operation
Set up complex, multi-axis CNC machines (lathes, mills, or turn-mill centers) independently.
Install and align workholding devices, fixtures, and cutting tools.
Load programs and set tool geometry, work offsets, and machine parameters.
Run "first-article" inspections to verify the setup matches structural requirements before handing over to machine operators.
3. Quality Assurance & Troubleshooting
Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, bore gauges).
Diagnose mechanical, programming, or tooling issues during production and make real-time adjustments (offsets, tool changes).
Maintain a strict focus on part quality, ensuring all outputs meet Tooltech Industries' rigorous quality benchmarks.
4. Safety & Maintenance
Adhere to all company safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized workstation.
Perform routine daily maintenance checks on CNC machinery to prevent downtime.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: Minimum 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a CNC Programmer and Setter in a high-precision manufacturing environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in G-code/M-code programming and at least one major CAD/CAM software package. Strong familiarity with major controller systems (e.g., Fanuc, Haas, Mazak, or Siemens).
Blueprint Literacy: Advanced ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including deep familiarity with GD&T symbols.
Tooling Knowledge: Thorough understanding of cutting tools, material properties (steel, aluminum, alloys, etc.), and appropriate speeds/feeds.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical problem-solving abilities, close attention to detail, and a collaborative team attitude.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
Work Location: Hybrid remote in Rajkot, Gujarat
