About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Engineer to join our Consumer Brand Platform team, responsible for powering the delivery tracking and management experience across our logistics network. You will play a crucial role in providing transparency and support for consumers by building tools and services that ensure customers know the status and expected timing of their packages.
This is a Night Shift role (7:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST) requiring 5 to 7 years of hands-on experience in building, testing, and deploying scalable applications in high-traffic production environments.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-End Ownership: Design, build, and maintain consumer-facing applications, GraphQL APIs, and event-driven backend services from architectural design to deployment and stabilization behind feature flags.
- Architecture & System Design: Contribute to architectural decisions for complex distributed systems and break projects down into manageable, deliverable milestones.
- Reliability & Performance: Ensure high reliability, observability, and privacy standards on public surfaces, such as managing accurate, non-duplicative consumer notification engines.
- Observability: Set up effective monitoring, alerting, and proactive engineering initiatives.
- Modern Development: Leverage AI-native tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot) to optimize workflows.
- Mentorship & Quality: Conduct code reviews, mentor junior peers, and document technical solutions.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Total Experience: 5–7 years of software engineering experience.
- AWS Serverless Ecosystem: 5+ years with AWS Serverless; 3+ years with AWS Lambda; 2+ years with EventBridge, SQS, and AWS AppSync.
- Core Stack:
- TypeScript: 4–5+ years
- Node.js: 5+ years
- React: 3+ years
- GraphQL: 3+ years
- Database & Architecture:
- DynamoDB: 3+ years (experience in single-table design required)
- Distributed Systems & Microservices: 3+ years
- Event-Driven Architecture: 3+ years (handling idempotency and at-least-once delivery challenges)
- Production Ownership: 5+ years of driving projects through production rollout and post-launch maintenance.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Hands-on experience with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot).
- Experience with mobile platforms using React Native and Expo.
- Familiarity with performance and abuse protection (CDN caching, rate limiting, bot mitigation).
- Knowledge of privacy engineering principles (consent modeling, data deletion).
Candidate Requirements
- Must be comfortable working the 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM IST night shift.
- Notice Period: Immediate joiners or candidates currently serving a notice period of 30 days or less.
Pay: ₹2,500,000.00 - ₹2,700,000.00 per year
