About the Internship
We are looking for a detail-oriented and enthusiastic Software Tester (QA) Intern to join our team. This internship offers hands-on experience in software testing, quality assurance, bug reporting, and product validation. You will work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to ensure our web and mobile applications deliver a high-quality user experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications.
- Execute test cases and report bugs with clear reproduction steps.
- Verify bug fixes and perform regression testing.
- Identify usability, functionality, and performance issues.
- Collaborate with developers to resolve defects.
- Prepare and maintain test cases, test plans, and testing documentation.
- Participate in feature validation before product releases.
- Ensure applications meet quality standards and business requirements.
- Assist in smoke testing, sanity testing, and exploratory testing.
- Provide feedback to improve product quality and user experience.
- Learn and follow QA processes and best practices.
Requirements
- Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Software Testing and Quality Assurance concepts.
- Knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
- Familiarity with manual testing techniques.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Basic knowledge of bug tracking tools is a plus.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Functional, Regression, Smoke, and Sanity Testing.
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology.
- Understanding of API testing tools such as Postman.
- Basic SQL knowledge for database validation.
- Basic understanding of automation testing is an added advantage.
