Job description:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies specific to LED lighting raw materials (LED chips, drivers, housings, PCBs, aluminum, wiring, packaging, etc.).
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors/suppliers.
- Negotiate price, payment terms, contracts, and ensure cost-effective procurement.
- Maintain supplier database and ensure vendor compliance with quality & statutory requirements.
- Coordinate with production, R&D, and quality teams for timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor inventory levels and place purchase orders as per demand forecast.
- Track market trends, price fluctuations, and alternative sourcing options.
- Build long-term vendor relationships to ensure uninterrupted supply.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and statutory regulations in all procurement activities.
- Prepare MIS reports on procurement costs, vendor performance, and savings achieved.
