Job description
Role & Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute MEP works aligned with project objectives and timelines.
- Review and coordinate all HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Firefighting, and ELV systems.
- Supervise contractors/subcontractors on-site, ensuring adherence to design, quality, and safety standards.
- Manage design consultants, contractors, and vendors to ensure cost-effective, code-compliant solutions.
- Support the Construction Manager in resource planning, productivity analysis, and cost monitoring.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and ensure timely approvals.
- Coordinate with the Planning team for schedule updates and develop recovery plans in case of delays.
- Review and certify contractor bills, variation claims, and coordinate with Procurement for necessary actions.
- Ensure value engineering, accurate BOQ/estimation, and analysis of CAPEX vs OPEX costs.
- Conduct safety checks, enforce quality control procedures, and raise NCRs for deviations.
- Liaise with statutory authorities for approvals and utility connections.
- Oversee testing, commissioning, and final handover documentation, including training of facility teams.
- Facilitate smooth transition to Facilities Management and ensure operational readiness.
- Maintain documentation to support contractual and project management requirements.
Key Skills & Technical Expertise:
- In-depth knowledge of NBC, IS codes, NFPA, ECBC, LEED/IGBC standards and statutory compliance.
- Strong understanding of installation, testing, and commissioning of all MEP systems.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and project scheduling tools.
- Experience in facility handover, maintenance planning, and green building initiatives.
- Skilled in value engineering, estimation, and lifecycle costing.
- Excellent coordination, reporting, and stakeholder management abilities.
- Awareness of latest construction methodologies and system technologies.
