About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with 6–8 years of relevant experience, including significant exposure to Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) projects. The candidate will be responsible for planning, execution, coordination, and monitoring of civil and structural works at the project site located at IIT Bombay, Powai.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and supervise civil construction activities as per approved drawings, specifications, and project schedules.
- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants, contractors, and client representatives.
- Manage and monitor PEB erection activities, including foundations, anchor bolt setting, structural steel erection, cladding, roofing, and finishing works.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety regulations, and project requirements.
- Review construction drawings, BOQs, and technical documents.
- Monitor project progress and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure work is carried out as per approved methodologies.
- Coordinate material procurement, inventory management, and resource planning.
- Resolve technical issues arising during execution and provide practical engineering solutions.
- Ensure timely completion of work within budget and quality parameters.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E./B.Tech Civil).
- 6–8 years of experience in civil construction projects.
- Mandatory experience in Pre-Engineered Building (PEB) projects.
- Strong knowledge of structural steel works, industrial/commercial building construction, and site execution.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project reporting tools.
- Good understanding of quality control procedures and construction safety standards.
- Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience working on institutional, industrial, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Ability to manage subcontractors and site teams effectively.
- Familiarity with project planning and scheduling tools.
