Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Spine OT Scrubber to assist the surgeon and surgical team during spine and orthopaedic procedures. The candidate should have good knowledge of spine surgical instruments, implants, sterile techniques, and OT preparation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and arrange all required spine surgical instruments, implants, sutures, and consumables before surgery.
- Maintain strict sterile/aseptic technique throughout the procedure.
- Scrub, gown, and glove according to OT protocol.
- Arrange instruments systematically on the Mayo stand and instrument table.
- Pass the correct instruments, sutures, implants, and other materials to the surgeon during surgery.
- Anticipate the surgeon's requirements and ensure instruments are available at the appropriate time.
- Handle and maintain spine instruments and implants, including screws, rods, cages, plates, retractors, and other instrumentation.
- Assist during procedures such as TLIF, PLIF, ACDF, laminectomy, discectomy, decompression, spinal fixation, and fusion surgeries.
- Maintain accurate instrument, sponge, needle, and implant counts.
- Check instruments and equipment before and after surgery.
- Coordinate with the OT team, surgeon, implant representative, and CSSD when required.
- Ensure proper cleaning, segregation, and transfer of used instruments to CSSD.
- Maintain OT cleanliness, sterility, and readiness for the next procedure.
- Follow hospital policies regarding infection control, sterilization, safety, and biomedical waste.
- Ensure all required instruments and consumables are available before the start of surgery.
Required Skills
- Previous experience as a Spine/Orthopaedic OT Scrubber preferred.
- Good knowledge of spine surgical instruments and implants.
- Ability to understand and anticipate the surgeon's requirements.
- Good knowledge of sterile technique and OT protocols.
- Ability to work efficiently during long and emergency surgeries.
- Good teamwork, communication, and attention to detail.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
