Job Title: Electrical Quality Engineer - Solar Projects [ Dip/BE-Electrical with 7 Plus year Exp.]
Job Summary:
Candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all electrical components and systems within our solar projects meet our stringent quality standards and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical engineering background with expertise in quality assurance processes specific to the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Assurance and Control:
Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for electrical installations and equipment used in solar power systems.
Conduct inspections and testing of electrical components, including transformers, inverters, panel connections, and wiring to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain thorough documentation related to quality assurance activities, including inspection reports, test data, and quality control metrics.
Prepare and present comprehensive quality reports to senior management and relevant stakeholders.
Continuous Improvement:
Identify and implement process improvements in electrical engineering practices and quality assurance protocols.
Lead root cause analysis for electrical quality issues, proposing corrective and preventive actions to enhance overall product quality.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with project teams, including design, procurement, and construction, to ensure that quality standards are adhered to throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct training for team members on quality standards, methodologies, and best practices.
Compliance and Standards:
Ensure all electrical designs, installations, and materials comply with relevant industry codes and standards (e.g., NEC, IEC).
Stay current with changes in regulations and standards affecting electrical systems in renewable energy projects.
Supplier Quality Management:
Collaborate with suppliers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide technical expertise on electrical engineering aspects of solar projects, ensuring alignment with quality assurance requirements.
Qualifications:
Dip/Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
years of experience in electrical quality engineering, preferably in solar or renewable energy industries.
Strong understanding of quality assurance methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO 9001).
