Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer – PHP/Laravel with 3+ years of experience in developing scalable, secure, and high-performance web applications and REST APIs. The candidate should have strong experience in Laravel, MySQL, API development, and server-side application development, along with hands-on experience with AWS or Linux-based production servers
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain backend applications using PHP and Laravel
- Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs
- Implement business logic, validations, authentication, and authorization
- Design and optimize MySQL databases and queries
- Work with Laravel Eloquent ORM, Migrations, Seeders, Middleware, Jobs, Queues, and Scheduler - Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, email, SMS, and other external services
- Develop secure and reusable backend components
- Troubleshoot application and production issues
- Optimize API, database, and application performance
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-structured code
-Collaborate with frontend developers, QA, UI/UX, and product teams
- Participate in code reviews and technical discussions
- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot applications in AWS/Linux server environments
Required Skills:
PHP & Laravel: PHP 8+, Laravel, MVC, Eloquent ORM, Middleware, Authentication & Authorization, Validation, Jobs & Queues, Events & Listeners, Task Scheduling, Sanctum / Passport
Database:
MySQL, Database design and relationships, Complex SQL queries, Joins and subqueries, Indexing, Transactions, Query optimization
API Development:
REST API development, JSON, API authentication, Third-party API integration, Webhooks, Postman, Swagger/OpenAPI
preferred : AWS / Server-Side:
3+ years backend/server-side experience, AWS or Linux production servers, AWS EC2/S3/RDS – preferred, Linux/Ubuntu, Nginx/Apache, PHP-FPM, Cron jobs, SSL, Application deployment and monitoring
Tools:
Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, Composer, Postman, Docker – preferred, CI/CD – preferred
Project Experience:
At least one production-level Laravel project involving: User Management, Role & Permission Management, Authentication, Admin Dashboard, REST APIs, Database-driven business logic, Third-party integrations, Payment Gateway Integration, Notifications, Background Jobs/Queues, File Upload & Storage, Reports, Production Deployment, Server Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Preferred Experience:
E-commerce, Payment gateway, Redis/caching, Laravel Horizon, Docker, Microservices, Elasticsearch, PHPUnit/Pest, CI/CD pipelines, AWS services, High-traffic apps
Qualification:
Bachelor's in Computer Science/IT/Software Engineering, 3+ years PHP/Laravel backend experience, Strong problem-solving, SDLC understanding
