Knowledge of Accounting Standards and procedures
Expert understanding of the auditing aspects (for billing and receipts)

Overall Purpose/Objective

Of the job

Responsible for ensuring adherence to the defined credit policy for the Center and assist in reducing the credit outstanding for the Center by creating and maintaining the Master Sheet and continuously managing relationship with retailers. Responsible for monitoring the credit liability of the Center by providing regular updates to all concerned.

Key Responsibilities

(List major responsibilities, that you have, to achieve the key objectives)

- Ensure preparation of a Master Sheet with comprehensive information about each retailer to be used for the preparation of various monthly bills - license fee, CAM & other charges, utility charges, Review all bills generated for each retailer wrt license fees.
- Assist the Department Head to ensure adherence to the defined credit control policy for the center by supporting collection of bills within defined timelines and reducing the outstanding balance for the Center
- Define and periodically update the credit control policy and ensure adherence to the same
- Review the daily outstanding report and take appropriate actions in case of delays to ensure reduction in credit for the Centre
- Explain the procedures for joint bank account to all retailers and follow up to ensure opening of the escrow account, and efficient operations for all concerned parties
- Responsible for coordinating with external CA firms for regular audits of operations (receivables/ credit control procedures, etc.) and also responsible for coordinating with various departments on audit queries
- Ensure compliance with tax authority regulations and laws (pertaining to service tax) to ensure that Centre (Mall) finances are accurately and timely reported
- To monitor collections from different sources and ensure daily bank reconciliation activity to facilitate effective performance
- Coordinate with various external agencies as may be required for discharge of functional duties effectively
- Understanding of Financial Risk Management framework
