We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and dedicated IB MYP Individuals & Societies (I&S) Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences that develop students' critical thinking, research, analytical, and communication skills.
The teacher will facilitate students' understanding of historical, geographical, political, social, economic, and cultural perspectives through real-world contexts and meaningful learning experiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging lessons aligned with the IB MYP Individuals & Societies curriculum and framework.
- Develop inquiry-based and student-centred learning experiences that encourage critical thinking and independent research.
- Teach relevant areas such as History, Geography, Economics, Civics, Global Politics, or Humanities, depending on the school's requirements.
- Design and implement formative and summative assessments aligned with MYP assessment criteria.
- Provide constructive and timely feedback to support student progress and academic development.
- Integrate global contexts, real-world issues, and interdisciplinary connections into teaching and learning.
- Support students in developing research, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues in planning interdisciplinary learning experiences and curriculum development.
- Participate actively in parent-teacher meetings, school events, co-curricular activities, and professional development programmes.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and collaborative school environment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in History, Geography, Economics, Political Science, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field.
- A recognised teaching qualification such as B.Ed. is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant teaching experience.
- Prior experience teaching IB MYP Individuals & Societies is highly preferred.
- Candidates with experience in inquiry-based and concept-driven learning will be preferred.
- IB MYP training/certification is an added advantage.
- Strong English communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to use innovative teaching strategies and technology effectively.
- A commitment to student-centred learning and the development of internationally minded learners.
Pay: From ₹40,000.00 per month
