Job Purpose
To manage procurement of mechanical components, raw materials, tools, and services required for manufacturing operations, ensuring cost efficiency, timely delivery, and adherence to quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify, evaluate, and develop reliable vendors and suppliers for mechanical parts and consumables.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and payment terms to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely procurement of materials as per production schedules.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and stores departments to align procurement with operational needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and maintain vendor records for audits and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, statutory requirements, and ISO/quality standards in procurement.
- Track inventory levels and initiate replenishment to avoid stockouts or delays.
- Support cost-reduction initiatives through alternate sourcing and process improvements.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5 years of experience in procurement/purchase within mechanical manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical components, raw materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and MS Excel for purchase tracking and reporting.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
