Key Responsibilities
- Endorse global data governance strategies, including Data Privacy across Org
- Sponsor and oversee delivery of enterprise wide data governance/Privacy projects and services and provide guidance on best practices
- Oversee that policies and processes related to data governance initiatives like data quality, access management etc. are communicated and enforced throughout the organization.
- Ensure roles and responsibilities at the strategic & operational levels are clearly defined.
- Act as deciding authority for various governance templates, SLAs and benchmarks on various policies, as well as on decisions regarding whether governance tools should be considered
- Understand and implement data governance & data privacy strategies across Org.
- Assess, design and implement improvements in policies and processes related to communication/ coordination of Org data governance initiatives like data quality, access management etc.
- Establish and maintain clearly defined data roles and responsibilities at the strategic & operational levels with focus on decision making and issue resolution responsibilities.
- Oversee and collaborate on defining and designing various governance templates, SLAs and benchmarks on policies including communications, data exchanges, retention, escalation timelines, quality etc.
- Oversee the formulation of relevant policies across data governance categories, including access, lineage, quality, security, change management, and environment
- Adhere to governance calendar and ensure that all governance meetings and agendas are met on stipulated timeliness
Job Requirements
- Strong leadership capabilities with effective stakeholder management and capacity to defend strategic decisions with respect to data governance
- Extensive experience of Data Governance related projects.
- Good understanding of Data privacy and also the implementation of such programs in a multi-national setting
- Past experience as project manager as well as experience of handling Data Governance projects
- Effective communication, stakeholder management and inter-personal skills
- Expert knowledge of Automobile & NBFC industry and related products.
- Proven success in developing and executing strategies, continuous improvement, analytics & advanced technologies to improve core governance values.
- Sound knowledge on Data Governance tools and technologies.
- Data Privacy:
- Should have a strong understanding of Data Privacy and implementing policies, process for compliance
Qualifications
BE/B.Tech/BS/MS in Engineering or a related field from a Premier institute
and MBA from Tier 1 B-Schools (Strongly preferred)
Experience
- 16-20 years of experience with at least 6-8 years working in Data Governance Programs
- Should have been part of at least 1 end-to-end Data Governance Program implementation
- Should have led a Data Quality programs and should have implemented a Meta data/Catalog tool
- Should have experience with Reference data programs
- Excel modeling and powerpoint expertise is a must
- Any experience on advanced analytics models/ tools/ use cases will be an added advantage
