Job Summary:
We are seeking a Landscaping Supervisor to oversee the maintenance and development of gardens, lawns, green spaces, and landscape areas within the campus. The candidate will be responsible for supervising landscaping activities, maintaining the aesthetic appearance of outdoor spaces, coordinating with gardening staff, and ensuring the healthy growth of plants, trees, and lawns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day landscaping and gardening activities across the campus.
- Plan and execute planting, pruning, watering, fertilizing, and other horticultural activities.
- Monitor plant health and implement appropriate pest control and plant care measures.
- Ensure the cleanliness, appearance, and upkeep of gardens, lawns, pathways, and landscaped areas.
- Coordinate with gardeners, maintenance staff, and external vendors for landscaping-related works.
- Maintain records of landscaping activities, plant inventory, equipment, and maintenance schedules.
- Manage gardening tools, irrigation systems, fertilizers, pesticides, and other landscaping resources.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new landscaping and campus improvement projects.
- Ensure compliance with safety practices and environmental standards during landscaping operations.
- Support campus events and special programs by preparing and maintaining outdoor spaces.
Desired Candidates Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping, Botany, or a related field preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in landscaping, gardening, horticulture, or grounds maintenance.
- Good knowledge of landscaping practices, plant care, irrigation systems, and pest management.
- Ability to supervise gardening staff and coordinate landscaping activities effectively.
- Basic computer knowledge for maintaining records and reports.
- Good communication, organizational, and team management skills.
- Experience in educational institutions, commercial campuses, or large facilities will be an added advantage.
