Job Summary
Rathi Build Mart is looking for an energetic and customer-focused Retail Store Manager to oversee the daily operations of our showroom. The ideal candidate will be responsible for achieving sales targets, managing customer relationships, leading the sales team, maintaining inventory, and ensuring an excellent customer experience.
Candidates with prior experience in Interior Designing, Tiles, Bath Fittings, Sanitaryware, Building Materials, Modular Kitchen, Hardware, or related retail industries will be preferred.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
- Achieve monthly and annual showroom sales targets.
- Attend walk-in customers, understand their requirements, and recommend suitable products and solutions.
- Generate quotations, negotiate prices within company guidelines, and convert enquiries into sales.
- Develop relationships with architects, interior designers, builders, contractors, and retail customers to generate repeat business.
- Follow up on customer enquiries, pending quotations, and orders to maximize conversions.
- Promote new products, offers, and ongoing marketing campaigns.
- Monitor daily sales performance and prepare sales reports.
Store Operations
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the showroom to ensure smooth functioning.
- Ensure products are displayed attractively and maintained according to company standards.
- Maintain cleanliness, visual merchandising, and overall showroom presentation.
- Ensure all customer enquiries are handled professionally and promptly.
- Resolve customer complaints and ensure high customer satisfaction.
Inventory & Stock Management
- Monitor stock availability and coordinate with the purchase/store team for replenishment.
- Maintain accurate stock records and conduct periodic stock verification.
- Ensure proper handling and storage of products to prevent damage.
- Coordinate inward and outward movement of materials and ensure timely delivery to customers.
Team Management
- Supervise, motivate, and guide the showroom sales team.
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor employee performance.
- Conduct product knowledge sessions and ensure staff are updated on new products.
- Foster a positive and customer-centric work environment.
Administration & Reporting
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and inventory reports.
- Maintain customer databases, quotations, invoices, and sales records.
- Coordinate with the Accounts, Purchase, Warehouse, and Operations teams for seamless business operations.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and operational procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience as a Retail Store Manager, Showroom Manager, or Sales Manager in a similar industry.
