Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented Area Sales Manager (ASM) to manage and grow our FMCG business in the Food & Beverages segment. The candidate must have strong experience in General Trade (GT) and field sales operations.
The role involves handling distributor networks, driving secondary sales, and ensuring strong market coverage and brand presence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Achieve sales targets for assigned territory (Primary & Secondary Sales)
- Manage and develop distributor, super stockist, and retailer network
- Ensure product availability, visibility, and market penetration
- Handle General Trade (GT) channel effectively
- Conduct regular market visits and monitor field sales activities
- Develop and guide Sales Officers / Sales Representatives
- Monitor competitor activities and market trends
- Implement company schemes, promotions, and trade offers
- Ensure timely collection of payments and credit control
- Prepare daily/weekly sales reports and MIS updates
Requirements:
- Minimum 6–7 years experience in FMCG Food & Beverages industry
- Strong knowledge of General Trade (GT)
- Experience in distributor and retail handling
- Good communication and negotiation skills
- Strong field sales experience
- Ability to manage sales team and achieve targets
- Graduate (preferred)
Salary:
- As per industry standards (based on experience)
- Incentives + Travel Allowance (TA/DA)
