Position Overview:The CSSD Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment. The role ensures adherence to infection control protocols, NABH standards, and hospital policies to support safe patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform cleaning, decontamination, inspection, assembly, packing, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments and medical devices.
- Operate and monitor autoclaves, ETO sterilizers, washer disinfectors, and other CSSD equipment as per standard operating procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles, biological indicators, chemical indicators, and equipment maintenance logs.
- Ensure timely supply and distribution of sterile instruments and procedure sets to Operation Theatres, ICUs, Wards, and other clinical departments.
- Inspect instruments for cleanliness, functionality, and damage, and report any defects for repair or replacement.
- Follow infection prevention and control guidelines, biomedical waste management protocols, and NABH standards.
- Monitor inventory of sterile supplies, consumables, and surgical instruments, and coordinate replenishment when required.
- Collaborate with Operation Theatre staff, nursing teams, and other departments to ensure uninterrupted patient care.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the CSSD work area while adhering to all safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Certification in CSSD (preferred).
- Knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control practices, and hospital quality standards.
Skills:
- Technical proficiency in medical device design and repair.
- Knowledge of biomedical instrumentation and regulatory standards.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience:
- 2–8 years of experience in a hospital CSSD department.
- Experience working in NABH-accredited hospitals will be an added advantage.
- Familiarity with handling a wide range of surgical instruments and specialty procedure sets.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
