Job Description
An accountant’s primary role is to keep records of all incoming and outgoing transactions and to ensure that each transaction corresponds to the correct account. They compile all financial data to analyse the pattern of transactions and create financial reports for all stakeholders. An accountant also needs to create profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and other financial statements to present the necessary information to the management. They also forecast the budget by analysing income and expenses in the financial year. Furthermore, reconciling ledger accounts and guiding the clerical staff are also the responsibility of the accountant.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Calculating taxes and submitting tax returns to comply with the law
- Auditing financial documents to ensure they are accurate and maintaining the confidentiality of the financial data
- Suggesting financial policies and procedures based on the overall financial status of the organisation
- Managing the company’s accounts to ensure on-time payment and overseeing the software system for financial needs
- Maintain the privacy of financial information, and when necessary, backup databases
- Rectify any anomalies or inconsistencies they discover in the company’s financial document
- Comply with statutory taxes and doing the working as needed
- Assess accounting software applications and accounting control procedures
- Make and evaluate the organisation’s year-end financial accounts
- Compose budget forecasts
Knowledge Requirements
- Deep knowledge of statutory taxes and gst
- Well versed with tds sections and rates
- Must have 2 years of experience
- have prior experience in scrutinizing balancesheet and profit & loss
Key Responsibilities:
Manage payment receivables and payables.
Prepare GST data and coordinate GST filing with the CA.
Handle GST reconciliation, bank reconciliation, TUBI reconciliation, and electronic credit ledger
reconciliation.
Prepare salary sheets and maintain related records.
Manage cash entries and petty cash.
Resolve verbal and written accounting queries from parties, vendors, and internal team
members.
Handle party-related account queries such as part payments, debit notes, credit notes,
outstanding balances, and payment adjustments.
Follow up for payments and coordinate with parties regarding pending dues.
Inform the owner/management about payment status, party issues, and important accounting
updates.
Communicate and coordinate with the CA for GST filing, paperwork, and other accounting
matters.
Support hiring and onboarding of new accounting staff when required.
Book Porter or logistics services for sending samples or documents to parties when needed.
Maintain proper accounting records and ensure timely reporting.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Senior Accountant or Accountant.
Good knowledge of GST, accounting entries, reconciliations, and payment follow-ups.
Ability to handle receivables, payables, salary sheets, petty cash, and cash entries.
Good communication skills for dealing with parties, vendors, CA, and management.
Ability to resolve account-related queries independently.
Knowledge of accounting software/TUBI or relevant systems will be preferred.
Responsible, organized, and detail-oriented.

reconciliations, party communication, and payment follow-ups with minimum supervision.
