Cabinet production planning and integration manager
Position Overview
Experienced professional in DCS and PLC systems with strong expertise in Cabinet design, assembly, and wiring. Proven track record in cabinet design and leading shop floor operations, including material handling, procurement, integration stores, production planning, and supervising system integrators to ensure timely completion. Skilled in guiding and supporting teams during pre-FAT and FAT activities, while ensuring adherence to dispatch timelines. Demonstrates strong people management abilities and effective collaboration with internal stakeholders, customers, and vendors. Committed to maintaining a full-time presence on integration and staging floors, with flexibility for travel as required.
Shall report to GM – Operation (Staging and Integration Leader).
Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end cabinet integration projects from Kick-off Meeting (KOM) through final cabinet dispatch.
- Lead and oversee integration floor operations, including supervision of cabinet supervisors, technicians, and stores personnel.
- Review and interpret cabinet drawings, I/O wiring schematics, loop diagrams, and engineering documentation.
- Prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs) and raise Purchase Requisitions (PRs) for control cabinet requirements.
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Management (SCM) teams to ensure timely material availability.
- Obtain and manage approved engineering deliverables required for cabinet integration activities.
- Supervise cabinet assembly, manufacturing, and integration activities to ensure adherence to project requirements.
- Conduct in-process inspections of PLC, DCS, I/O marshalling, IRP, PDB, network, and server cabinets.
- Coordinate with engineering, procurement, integration vendors, and project teams to meet project schedules.
- Provide regular progress updates and status reports on cabinet integration activities.
- Plan and monitor production schedules, resource allocation, and management dashboards.
- Oversee cabinet testing activities, including QC inspections, Pre-FAT, FAT, Megger, HV, and insulation resistance testing.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards throughout assembly, testing, and delivery stages.
- Ensure safe handling, storage, and movement of materials and cabinets within staging and production areas.
- Perform DCS and PLC cabinet hardware engineering and design activities

Support electrical cabinet design and integration activities, including LV and VFD cabinets (Preferable)

Drive cost optimization initiatives in collaboration with integration and engineering teams.
- Capture and communicate lessons learned to proposal and engineering teams for continuous improvement.
- Deliver projects within aggressive timelines and tight schedules.
- Conduct cost overrun analysis and recommend corrective actions with project and proposal teams.
- Manage integration vendor invoices and evaluate vendor resource competency and skill levels.
- Represent cabinet integration activities in customer project review meetings, covering integration, testing, and delivery status.
- Participate in internal and external audits and support process improvement initiatives with the QMS team.
- Ensure adherence to established processes, safety standards, and quality management requirements.
- Maintain strong customer focus, foster teamwork, and ensure high-quality project deliverables.
- Achieve and sustain 100% compliance with safety and quality requirements.

Qualifications & Experience

Engineering bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation, electrical or Electronics
- 15 plus years of relevant industry experience.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Knowledge of MS Excel advanced features and scripting is an added advantage.
